Eliminate Paper & Move to ERP Software Systems

With all of the technology advances and options today, it still surprises me that so many businesses continue to do so many of their daily business operations manually.  And by manually, I mean by keeping a paper trail.  According to a recent article on the topic by Manufacturing.net author Nick Sprau, a survey found that, "paper is by far still the most prevalent form of processing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).  Nearly 75 percent indicated that invoices are primarily shared among coworkers in hard-copy format.  More than 57 percent indicated that hard copies were their principal format for sharing and associated documents for approval." Wow.

Sprau does offer one solution to this problem  - adopting a paperless ERP software system.  I think many of the clients at EVS would agree that implementing O2 Process Manufacturing ERP software has allowed them to decrease or eliminate manual tasks, which has translated into time and cost savings.  Beyond the time involved in these manual tasks, we have to also consider the real risk of human error.  Whenever data needs to be entered by hand, often multiple times by multiple people, there is always going to be an increase for errors.

I invite you to read through many of the success stories found on the EVS website.  You'll probably notice a common theme where business executives are stating that before implementing ERP software, and in this case a process manufacturing software, they were forced to complete tasks manually.  Today, many of them are enjoying the benefits of less paper and fewer manual tasks, which is saving them a lot of time and money.
