As a manufacturer using standard cost, or another valuation method, and make use of inventory standard costs will now be able to track when and by whom standard cost changes are made with the new Standard Cost History module for Sage 500 ERP.
The Standard Cost History module will allow you to keep a history of standard costs changes, and it will include a BIE that shows changes at the detail level with a dat and user stamp. You may be wondering, didn't Sage 500 ERP software already have a Standard Cost module? If so, you are correct. In the previous module, changes could still be made outside of the O2 Cost Set module or manually manipulated. However, with this new Standard Cost History module, all changes will take place at the database level and changes to the standard cost will be captured no matter where they come from.
